Agro Amazônia follows a movement that unites productivity and human development

The state of Mato Grosso has long been synonymous with record harvests, strong exports and leadership in Brazilian agribusiness. Now, with so much growth, a new challenge emerges: investing in education as a strategic tool to transform and strengthen the future of the sector.

This topic gained prominence at an event held in Cuiabá by the group Gemte (Grupo Empreendedor Mato Grosso em Evolução), which brought together business leaders and financial institutions around a common purpose: connecting agriculture and education, productivity and legacy.

During the event, a charity auction raised around R$ 15 million, funds that will support a long-term initiative focused on developing public education in Mato Grosso.

So far, Gemte already supports public schools connected to the state government and the municipalities of Barra do Bugres, Campo Verde, Canarana, Chapada dos Guimarães, Diamantino, Rondonópolis, Sapezal and Tangará da Serra. The goal is ambitious, reaching 70 percent of municipalities in the state by 2035.

For Agro Amazônia, one of Gemte’s supporting institutions, this initiative deeply reflects the purpose that guides its actions. The company sees education as the same driving force behind a productive crop: preparation, innovation and continuous monitoring. By supporting the development of a stronger educational structure, Agro Amazônia also strengthens the ecosystem that produces, moves and sustains Brazilian agribusiness.

“The event organized by Gemte was a great success. The group was founded with the mission of improving the quality of education in Mato Grosso through collaboration between the public and private sectors. A few years ago, the state ranked twenty second in the national index and today it has reached eighth place in the IDEB. This improvement is the result of tireless work carried out by Gemte in partnership with the Government of Mato Grosso, always focused on the continuous enhancement of learning. We strongly believe in education because a country only grows when it forms people with knowledge, culture and opportunity. This is what companies need to develop and drive the socioeconomic progress of the state. The auction was extremely positive and next year we will certainly have an even larger and more successful event”, said Agro Amazônia’s president and CEO, Roberto Motta.

By connecting logistics, technology and agricultural solutions to a cause that transforms lives, Agro Amazônia understands that sustainable growth begins when knowledge holds the same value as productivity. Technological advancement, operational sustainability and efficient farm management increasingly depend on skilled, informed and prepared people who can keep up with the constant evolution of Brazilian agribusiness.
